The ski school

We learn what the joy of skiing means, the feeling that comes when the wind sweeps your cheek as we make our way down the slope. With a lot of joy, you can become a really good skier. The goals described below in each level are achieved through safety and play. 

Registration for the ski school in 2025

Registration for this seasons ski school opens on October 24, at 00.00 am.

You can find the courses on the main page, where all our activities can be found. Level descriptions can be found further down in this text.

Level selection

It is important that you only register your child to ONE level. If you are unsure which level your child should be registered to, always choose the easier level. The levels are an indication for us and if necessary we will move your child into the suitable level after the first lesson. 

Alpine skiing

Children's ski school 4 years includes 6 lessons of 45 minutes depending on the group. If all participants have the energy for it, the lesson can continue up to a maximum of 60 minutes. The activity takes place in Bruket on the weekends of week 4, 5 and 7. 

The children's ski school 5-12 years includes 6 lessons of 1 hour each and is held in Bruket on the weekends of week 4, 5 and 7. 

For Adults/Youths we offer two different options.

Option 1
Includes 4 lessons of 1.5 hours each and is held on weekday evenings. The lessons take place in Bruket and/or Väsjöbacken. For more information see the respective activity. We offer Level 1, Green (Beginner) and Level 2, Blue (Know the basics).

Option 2
Includes 6 lessons of 1 hour each and is held on weekends (both saturdays and sundays), at the same time as the children's ski school in Bruket. We offer Level 1, Green (Beginner).

Snowboarding

In the season 24/25, we have no opportunity to offer Snowboarding. 

Please note that the child must reach the minimum age for the group no later than the day the ski school starts. 

Prices 2025

Domherre (4 years), Lämmel and Räv (younger; 5-6 years): SEK 950 
Lämmel, Räv, Lokatt and Varg (older; 7-12 years): SEK 1150 incl. ski pass
Adults/Youths:
Option 1 costs SEK 1900 incl. ski pass (takes place in Bruket and Väsjöbacken)
Option 2 costs SEK 1500 incl. ski pass (takes place in Bruket)) 

The ski school fee is paid you register you child. 

If the ski school gets cancelled due to a lack of snow, or if the group does not start due to too few participants, the participation fee is refunded, however, the membership fee in Friluftsfrämjandet is not refunded. The outdoor promotion does not refund fees due to the participant's absence. 

Cancellation 

In case of cancellation before 31 December 2024, the entire fee (minus an administrative fee of SEK 100) will be refunded. After 1 January 2025, a medical certificate is required for reimbursement, even then an administrative fee of SEK 100 is payable. 

The place is personal and cannot be transferred. 

Equipment

Approved ski helmet (CE-EN 1077) is mandatory. For the student's safety, check before the course that the equipment is in good condition and that the bindings are adjusted correctly. Rimmed and sharpened skis make skiing more fun and easier. Beginners/children do not use wands at first. Adapt clothing according to the weather and make sure that there is an opportunity to ventilate the clothing. 

There is no possibility to rent equipment in Bruketbacken. 

Goal 

Our most important task is to spread and create skiing joy at all levels at the ski school. The goals described in each level are achieved through safety and play. 

Parental involvement

For those groups who have not yet taken a lift on Bruket's steep slope, we have button lifts that you parents pull the children up on. 

Levels

Domherre 4-5 years (Yellow, Beginner)

Skifun. For the very youngest who want to try skiing. We get to know the snow and our skis, but above all we have fun and play. Parents participate during the lesson. 

Lämmel younger 5–6 years (Green, Beginner) 

Prerequisites: None.  
Beginner course where we practice handling the skis, braking and turning on very easy slopes. 

Räv younger 5–6 years (Blue, Know the basics)

Prerequisites: You can brake, stop and turn on the children's hill yourself.
Playful continuation course for the younger ones who have already started their skiing. We are trying to get even better at turning and braking on the children's slope before we head out on the ski area's other slopes. 

Lokatt younger 5–6 years (Red, Medium)  

Prerequisites: You can turn, brake and stop on the big slopes. You can ride the anchor lift yourself.  
Advanced course for the younger ones who want to use the entire ski area. We have fun on jumps, bumps and all kinds of slopes. Everything to become an even better and safer skier. 

Lämmel older 7–12 years (Green, Beginner)

Prerequisites: None.  
Beginner course where we practice handling the skis, braking, stopping and turning on very easy slopes. 

Räv older 7–12 years (Blue, Know the basics) 

Prerequisites: You can brake, stop and turn on easy slopes. 
Continuation course where we become safer and braver. We will learn to ride an anchor lift and test the slightly longer and bigger slopes. 

Lokatt older 7–12 years (Red, Medium)

Prerequisites: You can go down most of the slopes in a controlled manner and ride the anchor lift yourself.  
We go on adventures with varied skiing on different types of slopes and terrain. We try to find safety, speed and rhythm in our riding. 

Varg 7–12 years (Black, Advanced)

Prerequisites: You can ride with parallel skis and can handle the anchor lift yourself.  
You dare a lot and ride with good speed. Advanced course with a faster pace. We ride jumps, bumps and all kinds of slopes while developing our skiing skills. Lots of speed in fun and playful conditions.
